Benefits

Not sure where to start with benefits?

Unsure how to fill in forms or struggle to write down how your disability affects you?

Benefits are complicated. We’re not.

Our team of advisers can provide help and support to check eligibility, assist in making a claim and offer support if decisions need to be challenged.

If you would like further information on benefit eligibility please attend one of our drop in advice sessions or contact our telephone advice line.

Appointments will be made for people who require assistance to complete a form. These can’t be done at drop in advice due to the demand at these sessions.

Please see our ‘Contact Us’ page for details on how to access our help.

You can also access help online https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/

Citizens Advice Copeland works in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support to provide a specialist benefits advice service for people affected by cancer. If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with Cancer and would like information and advice please contact our Whitehaven office and ask to speak to our Macmillan Benefits Adviser.
