be able to get Personal Independence Payment (PIP) if you need extra help because of an illness, disability or mental health condition. You must have found these things hard for 3 months and expect them to continue to be hard for another 9 months.<br \/><br \/>You must be living in England or Wales when you apply &#8211; unless you or a close family member are in the armed forces.<\/p><p>You must be at least 16 years old to get PIP.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6aacdace elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"6aacdace\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Your illness, disability or mental health condition<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-851bcde elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"851bcde\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>PIP is not based on the condition you have or the medication you take. It is based on the level of help you need because of how your condition affects you.<br \/><br \/>You\u2019re assessed on the level of help you need with specific activities.
